Health

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) recommends that you consult a health professional to discuss vaccinations for the following diseases: hepatitis B, influenza, tick-borne encephalitis, yellow fever and measles. Note that two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine are required for flights from Canada and for crossing the United States border.

Currency

The official currency of Spain is the Euro. This currency can be used in most countries of the European Union. If you plan to use your cards at your destination, don’t forget to communicate the dates of your stay to your financial institution.

Language

The official language of Spain is of course Spanish. There are also several regional dialects derived from it, including Catalan. However, it is possible to be served in English in most tourist places.

Passports

“Spain is a Schengen country. Canadian citizens do not need a visa to travel to Schengen countries. However, you can only travel without a visa for 90 days or less within a 180-day period. Stays are cumulative and include days spent in any Schengen country.” – Canadian Government

According to the Canadian Government, your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the date of your expected return from the Schengen area.
