Currency

The official currency of the country is the Mexican peso (MXN). American money and credit and debit cards are also accepted in the tourist centers. However, if you plan to use your cards at your destination, be sure to inform your financial institution of the dates of your stay in Mexico.

Health

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) recommends that you consult a health specialist to discuss vaccinations against the following diseases: hepatitis A, hepatitis B, fever and typhoid. Please note that two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine are required to fly from Canada and to cross the land United States border.

Passports

Your passport must be valid for the duration of your intended stay in Mexico, even if you have dual citizenship.

Language

While Spanish is the official language of Mexico, a total of 46 languages are spoken. This diversity corresponds to the mosaic of the population: diverse! It is also easy to communicate with the inhabitants in English if you don’t know Spanish
