About the destination

Many European countries are rich in history, but it can be said that Greece, in ancient times, contributed enormously to building the world as we know it today. This country is the cradle of democracy, philosophy and mathematics. From a sporting point of view, it is there that the Olympic Games and the Marathon were born.

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) recommends that you consult a health professional to discuss vaccinations for the following diseases: hepatitis B, influenza, tick-borne encephalitis, yellow fever and measles. Note that two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine are required for flights from Canada and for crossing the United States border.

The official language of Greece is of course Greek. However, it is possible to be served in English in most tourist places.

The official currency of Greece is the Euro. This currency can be used in all member countries of the European Union. If you plan to use your cards at your destination, do not forget to inform your financial institution of the dates of your stay.

“Greece is a Schengen country. Canadian citizens do not need a visa to travel to Schengen countries. However, you can only travel without a visa for 90 days or less within a 180-day period. Stays are cumulative and include days spent in any Schengen country.” – Canadian Government

According to the Canadian Government, your passport must be valid for at least 3 months after the date of your expected return from the Schengen area.
