Cabarete is famous for its turquoise water and white sand beaches. Currency

The official currency of the country is the Dominican Peso (DOP). US dollars and credit and debit cards are also accepted in tourist centers. Do not forget to give the dates of your stay in the Dominican Republic to your bank if you plan to use your cards at your destination.

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) recommends to consult a health professional to discuss vaccinations against the following diseases: typhoid, hepatitis A, hepatitis B and cholera.
