Aout the destination

Located in the Lesser Antilles, Barbados is an island paradise to dream about. The warmth, the perfect white sandy beaches and the sun are all there!

The official currency of Barbados is the Barbadian dollar (BBD). American dollar (USD) and credit and debit cards are also accepted in tourist centers. However, if you plan to use your cards at your destination, be sure to communicate the dates of your stay in Barbados to your financial institution.

The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) recommends that you consult a health professional at least six weeks before your departure to discuss the recommended vaccines: measles-mumps-rubella (MMR), diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, polio, chickenpox and influenza. Please note that two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine are required to fly from Canada and to cross the land border into the United States.
